VoIP is a breakthrough technology for network communications, it is based on Packet-Switched Network, its signal protocol and real-time data travels over the internet. Thus, it can be easily attacked. So, security grows to be the most essential issue that needs to be tackled, with the popularity of VoIP application especially in the field of wireless communications, such as WiMAX and WiFi. Taking bandwidth, wireless environment and the price of processing Security algorithms into account, the author thinks it is very important to choose the right security policies.Security problems concerning VoIP Mobile terminals are analyzed and some protocols and related security services for implementation of VoIP are briefly introduced in this paper. The author put forward a sound solution to these security issues through much research and analysis of all kinds of security implementation. Then, the paper focuses on the security of real-time data and confidentiality as well as integrality of RTP data is dwelled on.To minimize the cost of bandwidth and processing, the author chooses the SRTP(Secure RTP)and MIKEY(Multimedia Internet KEYing)as the secure protocol for real-time data. Since SRTP and MIKEY are designed to run at a heterogeneous network environment, bandwidth limitation, network delay, and computing capability as well are all taken into account from the very beginning.Based on Minisip which is in line with the specifications of GPL and LGPL, the author successfully makes a secure VoIP mobile termination on the OMAP1710 Platform which is developed by TI Company. What's more, the quality of voice service is comparatively analyzed in this paper.
