At the present time, there are two primary problems blocked the technology of Variable Frequency Variable Speed(VFVS) applying for high-voltage, great-power AC drive system widely. They are:1)In our country, the voltage applied for great-power electromotors(220KW) is high(6KV,10KV),but the sustaining voltage of power devices is low, so there is a difficult problem in voltage matching.2)The high-voltage, great-power VFVS is very difficult. It need high cost and high technology, so there is a difficult problem about economic benefit. The high voltage inverter with multilevel unit-cascaded connection which is researched in this paper can resolve the two problems finely. The main content in this paper is:1).Analyzed some basic topology of high-voltage converters and compared their excellence and defect. Then, accord to actual situation, the researching project~the cell series multi-level high voltage frequency inverter was ascertained.2).This paper completed the hardware design of system, adopted Carrier Phase-shifted SPWM technique as the control method. At the same time, the touch screen technique was adopted to realize some function of the converter's monitoring system.3).Completed the design of multi-fibers' connection with CPLD technique. After researching the fiber and CPLD, the chip EPM7064LC44-10 was used for the multi-fiber's connection. So the master system can control all units in harmony.4).The master system adopted the double DSP structure. Realized the communication of them with Can-bus. So the master system can not only realize the double series communication, but also give the system a CAN interface.
