In the recent 20 years, Distributed computing is one of the most activefactors that influence the development of computer. With the development of it,the application of distributed computing is becoming more and more extensive.Service discovery is a key part. The purpose of designation is to get distributed,isomery, dynamic computing resources and various data share together, andintegrate into application effectively. It can lead to locate the shared resourcesrapidly. Users can invoke the resource conveniently.Firstly, distributed computing technology and Web Services are introduced.In this part, distributed computing is summed in brief and its shortages areshowed up. So a new technology named Web Services is involved. The principleand architecture of Web Services are emphasized. Web Services can solve theabove problems and realize integration of distributed soft. It is a good choice forthe combination of distributed object and Internet.Through fully research on Web Services and high performance, An WebServices-based distributed service discovery system is designed. This system isconcerned the connecting environment of cluster and PCs in the lab. Servicedeploying layer insures the security and easy management of resources. Serviceregistering to service publication layer implements the transparence of service'slocation. The designed mechanism of service subscription improves the speed ofservice response and saves the cost of storing space. In application layer, userscan invoke Web page to implement service registering, querying and updating.This changes the traditional pattern of using character command. Such formenhances the utilization and efficiency. The module of SOAP (Simple ObjectAccess Protocol) Header Parsing realizes the identity's authentication and autho-rization. It makes the data in the registry secure and credible.Finally, the developing platform of system is constructed based on currentenvironment. The functions of service deploying, registering, locating, authenti-cation and authorization have been realized.
