Power industry, one of the most important sectors of the national economy,is now on one hand,having a great deal of opportunities, and on the other confrenting great challerges. Power systematic reform centred on "division of power station and wire netting" and "competitive price on th net" is in a full swing. Guidedby the new reform, electric power has become a real product. With the increasing development of our country's electric wier netting, transformation of both rural and urban wire netting,is also in a full swing. As result, customers are demanding more and more desired and qulified supply of power. The traditional manual management doesn't suit the current administration. In thes case, power supply automation is the only way to solve this problem.Auto power distribution system is a multi-purpose plat for used for DNS, data auto collection and transmission, rational load distribution and system integration for the background management software. On the platform there has been realized an integrated information system used for feeder automation, ustomer automution, information management automation, load control and forward electicity purchaseing system. It is an open system which abides by the current industrial standard for the operating system, the database, the human-computer interface and communication protcol. Its main working principle is, through communication media and protocol, to bring about the information dialogue between the background and the equipment, to realize the four remote functions (remotesignaling, remote control, remote measurement and remote regulation).To accomplish the following taskes:The customer management and the subsystem of equipent management have covevted the original model, storing directly, into the computer the customer information and equipment data, of which the customer can have a clear idea concering the distribution network in which howthe qquipment is working and its characteristics.Low votage line losses play an effective role in measuring the quality of the disrtribution network. A new and creative calculation approack is applied in the calcalation of line losses;which is convient for use fast an accurate for calculation and easy for data collection.UDP/IP based on GPRS is adopted to transmit the custmer's order ofr distribution and at the same time collect data for the terminal. Desged and created the protocol is employed between the terminal and communication service, lowering communication losser while transmiting effectively.Harmoics is developed and adopted in the terminal, which way fo caculation,based on the preaset calculation hurmonics, has developed into a new one which more efficiency, which has not been disclosed in the paper for the safety fo the complny.
