For the last decades, the combination of Fieldbus networks and Surveillance networks provides the basic condition for communication between automatization system and other related information systems. Recently, the integration of Surveillance networks into Internet broadens the scope of control systems. Nowadays, the harmonious cooperation of the three parties above technically supports the management and control incorporation of modern enterprises, as well as the realization of remote and unmanned supervision. A new three-tier enterprise network system architecture, in which the Fieldbus networks serve as the bottom layer(Infranet), surveillance networks act as manufacture and executive layer(Intranet), in addition, the Web Service is used as interface to Internet for access to information and resources of the enterprise. In this thesis, we lay our emphasis on the design, implementation of architecture of surveillance networks, which are the middle layer of the enterprise network system architecture, including the research and analysis of communication mechanisms that guarantee the smooth operation of the proposed architecture of surveillance networks. We provide an Intranet construction scheme based on middleware technology, and present measures to realize interfaces between Intranet and Intranet as well as Intranet and Internet. Under the proposed architecture, we put forward a resource allocation architecture based on Service-Oriented design thought and a set of implementation methods of Web QoS control based on Middleware concept.Specifically, the thesis summarizes the communications components for CORBA interface invocation, analyzes the stratum communication mechanism of CORBA communication. Through experiments, we build a communication delay model which shows factors that influence CORBA communication delay. Based on the model, we propose three design scenarios of multi-tier distributed system under different application conditions. Under the proposed architecture, we provide a real-time data transmission solution based on CORBA Event Service, and compare the transmission performanre among different modes. To build a link between Intranet and Infranet, we bring forward the scheme of Protocols Chip technology which also act as a software solution to make equipments which comply with different Fieldbus protocols work together. What is more, we present a surveillance network (?)esource allocation architecture based on Resource Agent, whose key implementation methods are provided. In the process of implementing Resource Agent, we advance a Guide Technology based on CORBA Interceptor, which plays an important part in load balance as well as fault tolerance of CORBA system. In order to evaluate the efficiency and fairness of resource allocation by Resource Agent, we apply a modified evaluation standard of network performance to Resource Agent architecture and give an analysis to the experiment results. At the end of the thesis, we present a scheme to link Intranet and Internet by implementing Web Service based on IIS technology. The last but not the lease, a design scenario of Web QoS control based on Middleware concept is advanced to improve the real-time performance of the system.
