Research Of Software Testing Management Supported System Based On CMM

With the rapid development of software industry, the scale of it growing bigger and bigger, at the same time, it becomes more and more complicated. As a part of the system of software assurance, the role of software testing becomes more and more important, especially in the process of big-scale software development. However, the traditional testing techniques focus on tested products, not check the process of software production considerably. This paper based on the National 863 Project of Software Supported System of High Performance Wide-band Telecommunication Network, and do the research of software testing management supported system for distributed develop organizations.This paper analyses the main features and limitations of several foreign software testing management tools. Combined with the requirements of software develop organizations, it makes a model of software testing management supported system which based on CMM, and realizes the software testing management supported system named Co-Test. This system contains the modules of testing progress plan management, testing cases management, bug management, testing tasks management, testing evaluation and so on. It refers to not only the testers every phase, but also analyzers, programmers, project managers, customers and end-users. This thesis introduces the architecture design, system framework, main modules design and date model of Co-Test, and realizes Co-Test. At last, summarizes the subject and expects next research.The working domain for this subject is small scale development organizations mainly, and the subject helps them to increase the ability of software testing management.
