With the fast development of the Wireless LAN (WLAN), the problem of security became more and more apparent. The security of WLAN mostly consists in that the wireless communication equipments transmit in the opened spaces, but not in the physical lines through which the wire networks transmit. The limitation of security in WLAN brings much trouble to the generalization. Although on the one hand the requirements of WLAN increase continually, on the other hand there're also many potential users hesitating whether to adopt WLAN systems for the lack of security protection. Therefore both enterprises and the individuals hope a new security standard could be put out as soon as possible. For the sake of protecting security the native WLAN, our country have brought forward our own WLAN national standard WAPI (Wireless Authentication and privacy Infrastructure) and the Chinese Wireless LAN security standard WAPI implementation plan which was drafted out afterwards. The target is to resolve the security problem of the WEP in IEEE 802.11. In this paper the author reviews and makes necessary introduction of the security both on international and national WLANs technology standard. Then we make analysis of the security of WAPI implementation plan for more using the BAN logic. We also compare the efficiency of EAP-TLS authentication protocol in IEEE 802.11i to that of WAPI standard. Subsequently, we put forward an enhanced improved wireless authentication plan EAP-IWAPI to be applied as a kind of authentication protocol in IEEE 802.11i. At last we make analysis of security on such improved protocol under C-K model.
