For the advantage of extremely low power spectral densities, excellent immunity to interference fromother radio systems, exceptional multipath immunity, capable of high bandwidth, multi-channel performance and high system capacity, the Ultra-WideBand technology has become the key technology of the next generation of wireless communication. It has aroused much attentions. More and more institutes and company are investing in this field. The UWB wireless communication technology is new exploration of radio spectrum, and this will develop new fields of time-domain spectrum.This programes came by the financial support from OKI company and based on the specifications of Direct-spectrume UWB from XtremeSpectrum company, simulated the system on the MATLAB, hoped to use this model to go ahead our study and examined the theoretical expression then improved the performance.Expected to smooth the way of UWB system implementation in the end.This paper mainly contain two subject: First, based on the traditional study concultion of narrow-band communication technology, theoretical derived the UWB system performance and simulated it. The UWt3 Receiver is our main job. Second, established a specifically whole system to study the system performance.Mainly related to Rice & Rayleigh environments that are the two basic signal multipath transmission and based on the traditional narrowband communication technology to theoretical derived the UWB Rake receiver. Analyzed two combination mode (MRC and EGC) and the influence of complexity of Rake receiver to the system. And based on th XtremeSpectrum's standard, used the MATLAB to complete the model of signal coding, the channel model of 802.15.3a, synchronization,acquisition,tracking, the Rake receiver and the decoding. Made the UWB system to hardware implementation more possible. With the previous conclution compared and analysised two UWB standards.
