Channel estimation is one of important parts in wireless communication systems. Some channel estimation algorithms with low complexity and high efficiency can improve the system performance remarkably.In this dissertation, principles of wireless channel estimation are introduced and channel estimation problems for OFDM and HSUPA systems are investigated through computer simulationMain characters of wireless channels and the importance of channel estimation are introduced in Chapter 1. In Chapter 2 basic principles of wireless channel estimation are introduced. The two chapters are the foundation of the paper.In Chapter 3 algorithms of OFDM channel estimation are investigated. After introducing the principle of OFDM system, training sequence-based and pilot-based channel estimation methods are studied respectively. Some classic algorithms of the two methods are analyzed and their advantages and disadvantages are compared. Meanwhile, a modified linear-interpolation scheme is proposed.In Chapter 4 WMSA and linear-interpolation algorithm of channel estimation in HSUPA system are investigate by simulation and their advantages and disadvantages are compared.Summary of the dissertation is presented in the end.
