The Theory And Application Research On New Generation Of GPS Used To Feature Modeling In CAD

New generation of GPS is a standard norm put forward for bringing about an advance in nowadays modern manufacturing industry on the basis of early GPS. It is based on metrology, the principle of duality and uncertainties is introduced, specification and metrology are incorporated into an organism.So it solves limits and fits,dimensional tolerances,surface feature and measure out of harmony in early GPS,and is based on modern IT. But it is still in making and perfecting at present. At first,the paper briefly introduces the evolution of GPS, according to feature technology the basic theory of new generation of GPS is analysed,at the same time,the paper explaines the charateristics,emphases and new theory.Because of involving multi-technology, the paper explores the research,direction and prospect of new GPS ,and puts forward concrete thinking used in CAD feature modeling. According to the product design, produced, examined,managed and etc,the thesis analysed the demand which is put forward toward each information environment in cycle of life of the products of new generation of GPS standard. On the other hand,the information flow environment of product provided by CAD/CAPP/CAM,CAT,CAQ,PDM is analyzed,and the defect is pointed out. Finally,the author puts forward the application countermeasure and method of improving the information environment with the aid of new generation of GPS standard system.So the paper helps to improve the function of person,technology,management,it also promotes and optimizes the integration of information,material,value during the cycle of life of the products. The paper shows great emphasis on the research of feature technology, and the conjunction of the category,operation of feature and assemble feature with GPS.The description of new generation of GPS accords with feature modeling in CAD is analyzed,and the new concept of the feature cell is put forward .At the same time,the mapping is put up between feature cell and function,and the integrated geometric tolerance is discussed.Based on the research of the flatness tolerance,the evaluation between criterion and verification is realized in ACIS.So the paper provides the use for reference to the information unification of design,manufacture,verification and the application of new generation of GPS in the project.
