Editing's Modernization

Editing's modernization is one of the organic components of society modernization. On one hand, as the prerequisite, it is based on society modernization. On the other hand, it has positive or negative influence on the advancement of society modernization. Editing's modernization refers to the process that the traditional and former modern editing activity transforms to modern editing activity. And it is the main content of the publishing industry modernization. Here frequently, the editing's modernization is the publishing industry modernization. Specifically, it refers to the process that with the technical development, taking the universal application of computer in the publishing industry as the turning point, under the background of era of knowledge-driven economy, the traditional publishing industry comprehensively transforms to the modern editing publishing industry from the edition technology to the management, the edition main body to the object, from the matter to the spirits. It emphasizes desalinating the modern tradition, paying attention to opening and innovation, as well as pursues obtaining the common characteristics and development that the publication of the developed society has through the study of the developed society.This article is an examination on the meanings and main contents of editing's modernization, and the countermeasures on modern editor adapting editing modernization's development, as well as several kinds of development tendency to the modernized editing. It emphasizes two planes of editing's modernization. One is the matter - the objective environment; the other is energetic - person's subjective consciousness. Only by the comprehensive union of editor' main body and the object, we can realize the editing's modernization. The third part discusses about modern editor adapting editing's modernization development, paying great attention to the union of modernized editor's energetic thoughts and practice, and separately explains the material stratification plane and energetic stratification plane. The fourth part tries to discuss about several kinds of development tendency of the modernized editing, based on some new phenomena on editing and publication. Looking from the angle of scientific theory system of the establishment of editing modernization, these four aspects are not comprehensive, but by this means, the author wants to propose a theoretically basis and direction to the operation and modern occupational editor's practice of our country modern publishing industry, making some forecasts and exploration on editing and publishing industry development direction and editor's professional prospect.
