Abstract/Summary:
As the Internet is becoming part of human lives and industry, all kinds of electronic products and equipments are developing towards intelligence and network. The embedded Internet technique has become one of the hotspots of embedded system development. After researching the embedded system and the embedded Internet technology, this design develops an embedded monitoring system based on the Internet. The system adopts the Internet as the transmission media between the monitoring equipment and the monitoring computer, and saves people from the special cables of traditional monitoring system, which is more expensive, less flexible and distance-limited, and provides its products with more expansibility and wider application range. The system can be used in the fields of bank monitoring, automatic building, traffic management, industry, family monitoring, workshop and civil safety.This article elaborates on the realization method of the embedded monitoring system on the way of both software and hardware. Using C/S mode, the system uses the end unit in the monitored environment as the sever, and at the same time uses the computer on which the motoring software is running as the client. The server and the client communicate with each other though the Internet and transfer all kinds of monitoring information bidirectionally. On the software way, the system uses ARM+μCLinux as the running platform to implement bidirectional data communication by applying the socket programming method, which is based on TCP/IP protocol and user-defined communication protocol. The application on the client is responsible for communicating with monitoring personnel, displaying monitoring information and storaging key data into database for further usage. The key technology used by the development system is explained in the article in detail. At the same time, anti-jamming and dependable design has also been implemented to suit different utilizing occasion of the system. The article also makes a study on the network security of embedded system, and chooses a resolution that suits the system best.From the result of debugging we can see that the whole system has realized the entire functional requirement and runs stably and reliably, all of which shows that the design of embedded monitoring system is reasonable and the expected goal has been reached.
