Since 1980s, virtual reality technique is always the pop aspect in study, development,application of information field. It constructs a virtual environment that is very similar with thereal environment by computers, and it lets users feel the virtual environment with the naturalskill by themselves. At present, it has been applied in military, education and training, designand plan, virtual test, medical treatment, shopping, interactive amusement, project technique,the explore of science and technology and so on.Virtual reality modeling language VRML is called the second Web language to succeedHTML. Itself is modeling language, namely, it uses to describe the three-dimensional objectand the behavior. It can construct Virtual World, integrate the text, image, sound, the image ofMPEG and other's media, inline applets in Java, JavaScript and so on. The basic aim of VRMLis constructing the interactive three-dimensional media in the network. Due to the appearanceof VRML, it renders the virtual reality walk into our lives gradually like multimedia andnetwork. Virtual three-dimensional maze is the application of virtual reality in the aspect ofamusement game. However the user may walk into a dead end that it can neither move forwardnor rotate at these locations without moving backward first place. It often makes users feelfrustrated. If this phenomenon appears many times, the users may lose the interest of game. Sothe navigation is necessary to avoid this case. In robotics, there are many ripe technologies ofnavigation. In this thesis we will use these technologies to apply into the navigation of virtualthree-dimensional maze. |
