With the development of computer hardware and software technology, multimediateaching plays a more and more important role in modern education. The rapid developmentof network technology makes the amount of multimedia data expanded. The multimedia datahave many characteristics, such as a great quantity, the wide variety of kinds anddiversification of data structure and data format, so the user is faced with greater difficulty inmanaging and using multimedia information. In this case, multimedia database technologybecomes an important research direction in telematics field.The thesis is completed based on former research findings and practical work experienceof my own, it researches and analyses some key technology problems of multimedia database.The detail contents include media information classification, information storage andmanagement, information retrieval, synchronization problem of multimedia information andproblem of database security, on this base, I design and exploit multimedia database systemplatform. In this platform, I put forward the classification storing of information viewpoint,that is, adopt different database to store multimedia data on the basis of different format andquantity of information;and also put forward data classification retrieval mode, that is,two-words retrieval mode for text data and content-based retrieval mode for image and videodata.The thesis is composed of four parts:The first part introduces the research background, research status quo in correlation fieldat home and abroad, the object matter and the emphasis and difficulty of this text.The second part introduces and explains the correlation elemental knowledge.The third part analyses and studies the key technology problems of multimedia databasesystem by the numbers.The fourth part designs and exploits the multimedia database system combined with myown research contents.
