Organic thin-film transistor(OTFT) is a field-effect transistor based on organic materials. Like MOSFET, it is a device which current is controlled by volt. It's particularly interesting as its fabrication processes is much less complex compared with conventional Si technology, which involves high-temperature and high-vacuum deposition processes and sophisticated photolithographic methods. In general, low-temperature deposition and solution processing can replace the more complicated processes. In addition, the mechanical flexibility of organic materials makes them naturally compatible with plastic substrates lightweight and foldable products. OTTTs have already been demonstrated in applications such as large-area display, electronic paper, and sensors. Now there has been great progress in both the materials' performance and development of new fabrication techniques. Although OTFTs are not meant to replace conventional inorganic TFTs because of the upper limit of their switching speed, they have great potential for a great potential for a wide variety of applications. In thesis, we firstly demonstrated the work principle of OTFT and charge transport characteristic. Then we show materials of OTFT , which include organic semiconductor materials and insulator materials. At last, we design a new OTFT, its core layer materials are anthracene and eproxy resin. We have described the structure and the process design of the new OTFT, its active layer and insulator layer are anthracene and eproxy resin respectively. And we have tested and analyzed the main parameter of device. The result show the materials are fit to fabricate OTFT, and the device have the similar character with MOSFET.
