Ever since 1990, when researchers at Cambridge University demonstrated electroluminescence in poly(para-phenlene vinlene)(PPV), organic semiconductors have attracted research dollars, venture investments, and Nobel prizes. Organic electronics is becoming rising, large commerce advantage industry.Organic field-effect transistor (OFET) is the importance devices of organic electronic devices families, and is a part of research subjects about materials of organic semiconductors, too. OFET can be applied to many fields, such as the driver of the active matrix liquid crystal display and the active matrix organic display, organic sensor, memorizer, RFID, E-book and E-paper, et al., it attracts great interests and people attention, and OFET devices is important tools and means about research organic semiconductor materials. So OFET has important values of research. This paper is performed in history, materials, device theory, device preparation technics and experiment, respectively.Firstly, it summarizes the general evolution history of organic electronics, introduces several key devices of organic electronic devices, such as OLED, organic unimolecular electronic, organic sensor,et al., their development and actuality. Review 20 years history of OFETs, introduce organic integrate circuit, discuss problem of OFETs, and present research hotspot of OFETs.This thesis discusses the device structure of OFETs which includes four general structures and some especial structures. It sums up all kinds of OFETs materials, including organic semiconductor, dielectric materials, electrode materials, underlay materials, et al., which have performance, characteristic and applications. It studies the operation principle of organic semiconductor electric-types in detail. Based in 10 years research results, this paper introduces and studies roundly the theory model of organic semiconductor carrier, analyze the distributing form of carriers in OFETs, and deduces the electric current equation of OFETs. It researches the meaning of field-effect mobility and the estimating method of mobility in OFETs. It discusses the reason of contact resistance between organic semiconductor and metal electrode, and influences to the device characteristic.Relativing to the inorganic FET devices, the biggest merits of OFETs are low cost technics of making. This paper introduces roundly the technics of OFETs. They are the traditional Si technics(such as vacuum plating film, photolithography technics,et al.), the solution spread , L-B film, self-assembly, printing technics,et al.. they are the technics principle, technics flow and technics specialty. Finally it discusses the application of organic semiconductor crystal technics.The thesis designs the OFET based anthacene from materials characteristic, technics flow, device structure and materials selecting. It researches the technics and characteristic of anthacene film by scan electronic microscope(SEM),atom force microscope(AFM),X ray diffraction(XRD),photomicroscope, et al.The research imports two organic dielectric materials——epoxy resin and polyimide and they are researched in film technics, characteristic of dielectric and device performance. We probe into the possibility and feasibility of all-organic, low cost OFETs.At last, the equipment was designed by self, it has tested the device and got the good experiment results.
