The Optical Time Domain Reflectometor (OTDR) is an important instrumnet used widely in optical communication system for measuring the properties of optical fiber such as the length, the transmission loss, the connecting loss etc., and locating the events and faults precisely along optical fiber. This paper analyzes the high performance mini OTDR and discusses the key technologies based on the basic theory of OTDR.some main resolutions such as the technique of achieving high dynamic, sampling with high resolution, the design of low power consuming and the technique of numeric-averaging with high speed etc. are presented. At last, the testing result and conclusion of our research are presented.The significance of the research is that the ability of developing and producing high performance and Mini OTDR is possessed ,and the situation of the native market monopolized by foreign products is broken. |
