Developing And Testing Of Language Model In Tablet PC

Microsoft Language Model project is one the most important projects inMicrosoft R&D China. Language Model is a module that is used to improvethe accuracy of recognition of language processing systems such ashandwriting recognition system and speech recognition system. There aresome tough problems in Microsoft Handwriting system in Tablet PC such asthe confusion pair recognition. Language Model can solve these problemseasily via the analysis of context.We discussed and researched the key techniques and algorithms inMicrosoft Language Model. My work includes:1. Basing on the successful development of Microsoft PinYin project,we designed the general data structure of Language Model.2. Designed and implemented some algorithms in Microsoft LanguageModel.3. Completed the testing of Language Model and presented the testingstrategy and methods for language model.4. Researched the Pair-wise algorithms of API testing that helps toreduce the amount of testing cases.The significance of my work is:1. Summarized the general design and testing strategy for MicrosoftLanguage Model that will be a very good reference for the next generation ofMicrosoft Language Model.2. Microsoft Language Model is the first language-processing module forhandwriting systems that was implemented successfully by Microsoft. It notonly can be used in handwriting systems, but also can be widely used in otherlanguage-processing systems such as speech recognition system.
