The research aim is fingerprint identification by computer to replace manual analysis.In recent years,Automated Fingerprint Identification Technology more and more come into people's life and work such as financial security, data encryption, e-commerce and other fields along with the emergence of low-cost fingerprint collection device,and the research and exploitation of Automated Fingerprint Identification System is becoming one of the hotspot in academe and business home and aboard. Fingerprint Identification has many particular strongpoint relative to other biologic character identification technology such as voice identification and iris identification, especially important,It has high practicability.It was considered a perfect identity authentication technoloty,and it has wide application foreground and besides it is mainstream of biologic character identification in future.It provides a a fast and most credible way for the definition of human individual.This paper analysis the pivotal technology and principle of the pretreatment of fingerprint image and minutiae pick-up fingerprint image classification,direction chart filter fuzzy decision-making in the process of fingerprint matching from the theoretics of figure picture processing and identification in detail,and a Automated Fingerprint Identification System based on fuzzy decision-making was developed.The sytem abtained fingerprint image through fingerprint equipment and deal with it, extract characteristics and position of fingerprint.In the paper,it extracts minutiae from two value image,secondly,we validate these minutiae and eliminate pseudo ones and save minutiae into fingerprint database. The system fuzzily match it with template in fingerprint database .At last,the result of fingerprintmatching was obtained.The paper improve the traditional arithmetic of fingerprint pretreatment,for example, using multi-level segmentation to segment fingrpint image and changing it to 2-value image based on ridge direction. In addition,the paper adopt fingerprint identification method based fuzzy decision-making. As the same time,it explained the function of the automatic fingerprint identification system.lt is proved that fingerprint identification method is feasible and effctive.
