Fiber grating is the most widely used optical passive component that has got the most rapid development over the past decade. Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG, Fiber Bragg Grating) sensor is currently one of the popular research fields which has a high sensitivity, anti-electromagnetism interference, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, good stress and temperature characteristic.Fiber Bragg Grating can achieve the coding of wavelength in sensor information. Its performance is better than the coding of light intensity or phase-encoded fiber optic sensors. At present, domestic bridges, buildings, dams and other fields introduce various instruments for structural health monitoring, but little research is done about engineering design of FBG sensor and monitoring and analysis system about FBG sensing.There is quite a distance from practical engineering.This paper has described the sensing properties and superiority of fiber Bragg grating sensors and carried on some theoretical analysis, finite element simulation and structural design to the hydraulic engineering practical sensor and pressure ring based on FBG, and done the corresponding indoor experiments at the same time. This article has also developed monitoring and analysis system of FBG which adopted the wavelength demodulation based on the tunable laser scanning method and designed corresponding database. The system combines the data acquisition, configuration of sensor parameters and calibration of sensors, real-time storage and display, query of historical and alarm data, printout and other functions as one and it's convenient, simple, intelligent, humane, and has been tested.The main contents are as follows:1) Brief introduced the research status, basic principles, temperature and strain sensing characteristics and crossover sensitive problem of FBG sensor technology.2) Designed the hydraulic mine sensors and pressure ring based on FBG, packaged the patch type FBG-based anchor sensors and adopted finite element method to simulate the deformation and displacement when fiber grating was elongated or compressed in load, found the most effective paste position of grating,analyzed and summarized the pressure radiosensitizing technology of grating sensors.3) Analyzed the principle of distributed FBG sensing measurement, introduced the demodulation device and methods in the subject and proposed a new idea about the application of distributed optical fiber grating sensor in mine safety production monitoring.4) Developed monitoring and analysis system of fiber grating which used professional industrial developmentlanguage LABVIEW, joined MYSQL database, and realized real-time data collection, storage and display, historical inquiry, report print, and other functions based on demodulator.
