WCDMA(Wideband Code Division Multiple Access)is the one of the 3rd Generation Mobile Communication Standard. This standard needs 2Mbps' data rate, efficiently utilizes wide frequency, swimmingly handles voice, data, image and link to internet. These technologies bring forward super demands to the high speed transfers of WCDMA, which needs better basnband technology. It's the purpose of this thesis that realizes the performance's improving on WCDMA digital baseband through digesting the WCDMA traits in the banseband technology.The thesis focuses on the channel coding and multiplexing through analying the protocol of WCDMA physical layer and the system's architecture. And in the thesis some essential technologies of WDMA digital baseband are researched and implemented. First, it introduces the layered structure's method on the WCDMA digital baseband modeling, which makes the model layered and simplified. Second, WCDMA baseband is coordinated designed based DSP+FPGA architecture. And the system is partitioned to blocks by function according to the characteristics of DSP and FPGA. Thirdly, the thesis introduced a task manipulation scenario based slot according to the characteristic of WCDMA that one radio frame has 15 slots, which optimizes the whole module resource configuration, makes the operation efficiency higher. In the end, the thesis experiments a new software senario which based on minimum RTOS. And this RTOS improves the expansibility and maintenance.The present thesis significance lies in that it withdraws the useful technical characteristic to apply in the digital baseband certain essential technologies research and the realization, which is based on the analysis to the WCDMA digital baseband technology's concept and system architecture. Hence, it promotes the WCDMA digital baseband's performance from the multiple perspectives, which provided a model for the WCDMA digital baseband's research and realization.
