The Human Face Recognition Method That Bases On K-L Transform

Pattern Recognition, the meaning is that uses the computer and depends on mathematic technology to study the automatic processing and interpretation of the pattern. The salient features of Computer Recognition are: faster speed, higher veracity and efficiency. The human face recognition is a very important subject in the area of image analysis and comprehension of computer pattern recognition. It endows the computer with the ability of recognizing person identity. Because referring to pattern recognition, computer graphics, digital image processing, it is a representative scientific problems. And there is very important foreground to develop and apply it into fact use in the software engineer ,most in biometrics field. It is mostly applied into information security, commonality security, finance filed and so on. The experiment studies the human face recognition mainly from the human face characters positioning and recognition.The experiment regards the face image as the samples of random field. It uses the pattern recognition system, which bases on the statistics, and from the point of view of signal processing to give a statistical description of the entire sample images storage. In the experiment, for convenient processing by computer, firstly transform the face image into digital image. Secondly, with K-L transform method, the dimensions of human face are reduced and the algebraic characters areextracted and sorted. Then, a specific human face can be found from the database through the comparison between algebraic characters. As proved by experiment result, K-L transform method is an easy, practical, useful and satisfactory method to recognize human face by computer.From the experiment, I find some key factors to decide the recognition rate of human face recognition: the recognition quality and characters positioning of human face, image's backdrop, illumination, pose, definition and so on.The discourse mainly studies the human face recognition system that bases on K-L transform method. From the experiment, I study some knowledge about human face recognition.
