Seismic Data Interpretation is a very important process in Geophysical Preospecting fields. Now application of computer is very popular. Using computer to help people interpret SeisData is the certain trend. There have been many advanced software products in other countries; and development of native SeisData interpretation software is going on. Current Seis3D Structure Interpretation System has been used for many years. Because lots of new algorithms are appearing and application demands are ceaselessly varying, it is senseful to develop a new system which takes advantage of new computer technologies and is easy to be maintained and extended.This paper states object-oriented design and realization of seis3d structure interpretion system with development of current software engineering. By analysising SeisData interpretation technologies, it gives many useful requirements. By comparing with deficiencies in current system, it explains advantages of object-oriented development and purpose of developing new system. It also states system architecture, running environment and database design. It specifies application of UML in system design/modeling as well as design/application of object-relation database in new system. In the end, with support of Linux and Oracle, we use C++ program langue realize Seis3D structure interpretation system.This paper presents reasonable system functions based on current SeisData interpretation technology and developing trend. Using C/S communication method will make collaborative working of multiple research teams easier, and make cost of system lower. Using Linux will guarantee running efficiency and stableness of new system. Using advanced object-oriented development technology will improve developing efficiency, reduce developing cost, and make maintenance, extension easier, In new system, we use lots of advanced algorithms instead of old algorithms in current system, and updating algorithms will be easier. In new system, we standardize all data-object by Geophysical Preospecting Standard , then data format will be regular.
