Abstract/Summary:
The rapid progress of information technologies, especially computer science and network technology, has made far-reaching influences in social production, living and administration. In this context, traditional control technology asks for new technological innovation, that is, remote control, a combination of control theory, computer network, and communication technology. This thesis applies remote control technology in fire-alarm control domain. And it designs a system to monitor and control fire-alarm panels over the network. First, the status and developing trend of remote control technology is introduced. There are three main networks can be used in remote control. Each has their own advantages and disadvantages. Considering the situations and characteristics in using the fire-alarm monitoring and control system, the thesis presents a project to practice remote monitoring and control over fire-alarm panels with the interface of Ethernet. The model of fire-alarm panel control network is based on the analysis of OSI model and TCP/IP protocol stack. And it also makes software design to the remote control system of the fire-alarm panel according to the function. The control software should implement three main functions: remote configuration, remote monitoring and control, information query to the control panels. Communication regulations and protocols are the keys to the remote control system. Establishing the regulations and protocols should consider such elements as reliability, security and real-time property. In the remote control system over the fire-alarm panels, different application situations call for different communication regulations. In the mean while, the data are encoded to enhance the transmission property. Fire-alarm panels are industrial equipments with RS232 serial port. It needs a "bridge" to connect to the Ethernet. In this thesis, a special device is designed to act as a gateway to work for the fire-alarm panels. Its main purpose is to implement the transformation between data in serial format to those in Ethernet format. The device chooses MCU as controller, RTL8019AS as transceiver to receive and transmit data from Ethernet. It simplified the implementations of some of the TCP/IP protocols so that the driver can fit the size of memory in the MCU. The driver implements IP, ARP, UDP and Ethernet protocol. Finally, the thesis gives the implementation of control software of remote control system over fire-alarm panels. WinSock technology is used to realize the remote data transfer. It also designs a fire-alarm panel information query system with B/S architecture. After discussing three main methods of accessing database in the Web-based remote control system, the thesis gives the implementation based on JSP technology.
