We are surrounded by beauty. In other words, beauty lies in every corner and every minute of our life. Does beauty lie in the news works? If the answer is a big YES, what generates it then? Are there any factors affecting the generation of the beauty? What are the aesthetical properties of news works? News aesthetics is a compounding and intersecting study of journalism and aesthetics. Although few people in either the theoretical and the practical field of journalism can hardly comprehend the relationship between journalism and aesthetics, most of the scholars have come to a common understanding: humanism should be advocated in the writing and reading of news works. In fact, humanistic solicitude is to understand people's inner feelings and to care for people's emotion. Aesthetics is one of the very disciplines to study human feelings as a whole. Thus it's natural that we come to the following conclusion: there lies beauty in every single piece of news works. The aesthetical properties of news works are generated and transmitted in an interactive and interrelated mechanism between news writers (who create the aesthetical properties) and readers (who enjoy the aesthetical properties of news works). The thesis, starting from the beauty of news works, makes a tentative analysis of the components of the aesthetical properties, i.e. the writers and readers (the subject) and the news works (the object) to elucidate the mechanism of the aesthetical properties of news works. The aesthetical properties of news works have the special value generated from the interaction between the subject and the object. The properties themselves exist only in the process of value-generating. The beauty of news works is generated by certain factors. The subject, by way of its aesthetical perception and in accordance with both aesthetical imagination and feelings, will discover and experience the beauty of news works in order to understand and perceive the beauty and as a result, to upgrade its own level of understanding of the beauty. Nevertheless, the object should be well prepared in materials, words and structures in order to attract the subject in the process of aesthetical appreciation. The beauty of news works is based on the following: authenticity is the basis, good is the objective and image is the manifestation. The falsehood of news works leads to no way but its death of the aesthetical properties; all of the good news works are based on nothing but the historical inevitability to sing the praises of good and to demonstrate their own aesthetical tendencies; any news works can never be segmented from such images as people, scenes, surroundings and occasions to make it real, specific, lively and perceptible and in the very end, to manifest the beauty of news works.
