The visual inspection technique is the new technology that has development potentiality in the precise measurement technique field, used electronics, photoelectricity surveying, image processing and computer technology synthetically, realized fast measurement of three-dimensional size or position to the object (the products or the part), has advantage of non-contact, rapid speed, flexibility, etc. has wide applied in part measurement, assemble size precision, part machining accuracy, position / angle measurement, part discern, character discern of industrial field extensively. It has very important function in the modern manufacturing industry.The precision is the key that we care about most in utilizing the photogrammetry principle and computer vision technology to measure or inspect the size and position of the part. But there are many factors which influenced the measuring precision, for example in different industrial environments, measure precision can be influent by size and complexity of part, corrosion state, illumination terms actually, quality and scale of image, etc. at the same time a lot of influence factors may interweave together . To developed visual inspection system need a large number of experiments to test to assess the stability and dependability of inspection system, to analyse the sources and reasons of various kinds of errors in the course of measuring, to find out the law which influences the measuring precision, to set up more perfect error model.This paper, visual inspection system of industrial sheetmetal part which the Supresoft company had developed out (VPSS Inspection System) need design feasible scheme and plan to test the visual inspection system, carry on correct error analysis and data processing , provide part require qualified measuring terms and environment under require in high accuracy. Thus offer essential technology to the improvement and optimization for the visual inspection system of sheetmetal part.In order to make VPSS visual inspection system practical, design a kind of simple and convenient automatic camera calibration equipment to operate easily, and have derived influence on calibration precision of this camera calibration equipment in terms of mathematics angle in this paper. A large number of experiments indicate the calibration precision of this kind of equipment can reach , even higher than the artificial method to use in the laboratory at present.
