Application And Research Of The Heterogeneous Data Harmonization Technology On Iron & Steel Enterprise Information System

The development of information technology requires that data from different departments in a corporation can be shared, exchanged, integrated and recycled to the largest extent. And original distributed data processing fails to meet the need of modern administration of enterprises more and more obviously, especially the isolated islands of information formed by different depart-ments, which make up a series of heterogeneous data sources in the whole company, hinder badly the share and utilization of data among various departments of the enterprise. At the same time, the development of web makes company from an isolated node into an en-tity, which keeps exchanging information and doing business with other entities. And the data integration has developed from the inside the corporations to among them. Nowadays, the com-pany is in a more urgent need to release and exchange their own information more than at any time before. More and more company needs to access all sorts of data source. To meet this de-mand we required integrating heterogeneous data of enterprise in virtue of certain techniques. This paper takes the "Integrated Group Marketing Network Management Information System" of Liuzhou Iron and Steel Com. as study object, based on original Marketing Management In-formation System, aiming at the characteristic of heterogeneous data and combining with Java technology, discusses the application of heterogeneous data integrating method based on XML and middleware on management information system of Iron and Steel Com. The paper mainly discusses as follows: firstly, analyses the present development of modern steel enterprise and expatiate the development in integration of heterogeneous data regarding the existent problems in the enterprise, including foreign and domestic updated research results; secondly, introduces the characteristic and application of XML and middleware respectively。Middleware has the advantages of solving complicated problem, shortening the cycle of system development, decreasing the risk in development and reducing expenses, etc. XML is a self-descriptive and extensible language, which can be used to describe all types of data and make itself fit to the middleware of heterogeneous databases, which makes it easy to share and exchange the data among heterogeneous databases; thirdly, designs a framework of enterprise heterogeneous data integration technology based on XML middleware, and data from different application will be connected into the uniform framework to get ready for the next process. In the end, based on the above discussions, we realized the heterogeneous data integration for Liuzhou steel and iron Company. We used Schema and XQuery as the common data model and global query language to make easier to access the enterprise information sources, and share the data in a larger scale.
