The Studies On Intrusion Detection Of Ad Hoc Network

Along with the requirement of free communication, the wireless communication technology obtained widespread development and application. As a kind of new mobile network, because of its unique superiority, Ad Hoc network obtains unprecedented attention in the research area and huge prospects for development. Ad Hoc can not only function as an independent network, but also function as one kind of supplement form of the traditional infrastructure. Compared with traditional network, major character of Ad Hoc network is that it can construct a mobile communication network rapidly without support of hardware infrastructure. What's more, there isn't center control point in Ad Hoc network, this kind of distributed characteristic makes Ad Hoc obtain very strong destruction-resistance ability. However as a kind of special wireless network, the security problem of Ad Hoc is of much importance. Because of certain factors, such as the wireless channel, the limited power, and the distributional control and infrastructureless and so on, the traditional network security solutions are unable to apply in Ad Hoc network environment, this situation makes Ad Hoc network security become an urgent need. As an important constituent of network security, the intrusion detection technology is proved to be essential when used in the traditional network. The intrusion detection system detects network security situation through analyzing the communication information and the system log, and then react on intrusive behaviors and exceptional phenomena. For Ad Hoc network, the access points are mobile and lack of physical protection, so they are easy to get captured. After that, the captured access points would attack the network from inside. Apply intrusion detection technology in Ad Hoc Network will solve this kind of security problem. At present, intrusion detection technology related with Ad Hoc network increase rapidly.First, Ad Hoc network and its security problem are introduced, and then a kind of feature extraction method is proposed to meet the needs of intrusion detection. After analyzing the requirement of intrusion detection, one kind of intrusion detection algorithm based on neural network is proposed, this algorithm overcomes shortcomings of ART2 of sensitive to noise and loss of determination information. The algorithm is proved to be efficient and fast by test results. After analyzing present Ad Hoc network security situation and the traditional network security solution, a distributive intrusion detection solution based on mobile agent is proposed. The holistic design, the structure, the module function and the communication mechanism areintroduced systematically. The intrusion detection solution is proved to be effective by the instance analyzing, which laid foundation for the development of following work.
