With the development network communication techniques and wide use of computers, distributed computing becomes the mainstream of computing technologies. By right of high performance, high availability, and good scalability, distributed computing middleware becomes one of the key technologies to implement distributed computing. Nowadays, distributed computing middleware could provide excellent development platform and communication support, but most of them lack management functions of distributed applications. Especially with the rapid development of computer technologies and the increasing scale of distributed application, the actual demands of many fields put forward higher demand for distributed computing middleware. It is a research work of general and practical significance to solve the problem of management for distributed computing middleware effectively in middleware layer to satisfy the urgent demands of performance, scalability and easy using in current distributed application.According to current most distributed computing middleware platform lack management functions and application system have urgent demands of system management, this thesis deep researches the management problems existing in the actual operating of the massive data transaction processing system that our project team develops. Then, on the base of our research, we develop a distributed object management system based on CORBA. This system effectively solves several key technical problems of the distributed object management, including configuration management, system monitoring and system operating maintenance. The primary contributions of this thesis include:1. Having researched distributed system management and the management problems existing in the massive data transaction processing system, we give the configuration of distributed object management frame, include three services : configuration management, system monitoring and system operating maintenance.2. The thesis designs and implements the static configuration service. The subsystem implements these functions : the deploy of server and the creation and deletion of objects etc. We use XML technology to save the information and design an object factory model that can dynamically expand the object type.3. The thesis designs and implements the system monitoring service. The subsystem implements these functions : monitoring the state of object and the host etc. Facing the host fault detection, we use the double detection method based on the agents. The methodimproves the veracity of fault detection. Moreover, we bring forward the arithmetic of obtaining the cpu and memory utilization rate in order to obtain the exact load of the hosts . 4. The thesis designs and implements the system operating maintenance service. The service maitains the number of objects. We describe three strategies to the objects. The three strategies are the free object strategy, the first in first out strategy and the few use object strategy.
