This paper has analyzed MPEG4 technique, and has made research on video/audio real-time transmission based on object-oriented thought, including coding, synchronization and transmission with emphasis on the later two. The appropriate prototype has been designed on this basis, and its filters running based on object contents have been realized. The paper's research and work includes: Research and analyze the system part of MPEG4 (ISO/IEC 14496-1). Design and implement the video/audio real-time transmission prototype and its object contents-based filters. Analyze the object-oriented multimedia transmission features, give out and design a layered structure synchronization model for the prototype in detail. Give out a selective resending algorithm for real-time transmission. Design a new application layer protocol SRoRTP on the basis of RTP protocol, extending the performance of RTP protocol. Considering the effect of variable QoS to real-time transmission, analyze layered and leveled coding thought for content-based visual data. Test the prototype filters running based on object contents. Make simulation test for the real-time transmission selective resending algorithm, validating its feasibility and with results that the new algorithm has decreased the loss rate of the audio/video key content packets transferred by RTP protocol.
