| The PC architecture has been a full-functional and high-performance specification with much complexity. Now most of the computer for desktop application of the world is based on this architecture .And the PC architecture is used for more and more application field. There are many x86 CPU has been used widely in our military equips and scientific research institution. Accordingly the design and implementation of the independent Computer system based on PC architecture is significant for our technique development and security.The SOC technology aroused with the improvement of the technology for IC design and techniques for manufacture in 1990s.It reduced the difficulty of the IC design and increased the degree of integration and reliability. The SOC technology offers a shot cut for the implementation of the independent Compute system based on x86 architecture. Therefore, the research for the architecture of the SOC based on x86 CPU is a issue of much significance.Author of this paper has research the contents and requirement of the PC architecture deeply and analysed the organized structure and the actual implementation of the legcy computer based on PC architecture and present a new architecture which has good IP- reusability and PC-compatibility.The Design for this architecture has a core of x86 CPU , and it's base inter-connection architecture is AMAB on chip bus.Some issues has been considered deeply in the design such as the inter-connection of the SOC , the division of the sub-system , the implemention of the PC-compatibility in multi-level software and hardware.This paper also present a compatible mechanism in SOC for the legcy PCI device and a method for the optimization of the execution flow of the instruction.Finally,the SOC has been tested and verified on the platform which was designed independently. |
