With the rapid development of network, data transmission and storage capacity are becoming larger and larger. A sea of database storage systems have emerged as the times require and how to utilize the limited physical memory storage space effectively has become a critical problem facing many database researchers. Therefore, the management of seas of data and optimization of masses of databases has been an outstanding task. However, most of the present database storage patterns are reformed based on the existing small database schema, which cause many drawbacks and inadaptability. For example, some emerging database schemas in large enterprise just simply compact data and store them. This will result in the incompletion of data storage. At the same time, this will not meet the requirement of database systems such as Global Geography Information System, Meteorological System, Seismic System and some systems with continuity, slight change and time sensitivity. There are many problems in the existing database storage models. These systems that use the existing database storage models can cause some problems including:Large data redundancy, Low accuracy, Complicated calculation and Limitation of query. To solve the problems above, a new type of database storage mode was proposed in this study. The original state library database was built to greatly reduce the redundancy of original database and the establishment of incremental library was conducted to make the stored data continuous, detailed and easy to calculate. The historical database was founded to extend storage time of data from one month to two years. In this work, multitudes of research papers on database were investigated with the combination of storage patterns of huge database that were studied and analyzed carefully. With the comparison and the advantages and disadvantages of storage patterns of the existing databases and modern magnanimous databases considered, an advanced database layout mode, namely dynamic-incremental database storage mode (DIDSM) was presented and the algorithm and backup strategy were sought for DIDSM based on this storage mode. JBuilder development tool Sqlserver2003 was run in the environment Windows XP Operating System to process collected seismic signals in global seismic networks with repeated experiments and improvements. A database storage system based on dynamic-incremental mode was established. Also, the characteristics of internal storage structure and optimization algorithms were studied accordingly on the basis of DIDSM, achieving the optimization design of magnanimous database storage mode.
