Research On Results Merging Technology In Meta Search Engine

As the requirement of people to the efficiency and accuracy of searching is ever increasing, single search engine has not meet many users' needs. Sometimes, we need to find several independent search engines in order to search for something. To solve this problem, meta search engine came into being.Although the information coverage and the information range of meta search engine are larger than a independent search engine, meta search engine's synthesis technology in the search results are still unsatisfactory. Based on synthetically analysis of meta search engine's synthesis technology, this article has in-depth study for how to raise the meta search engine's recall ratio and precision ratio.Firstly, this paper has carried on the outline to meta search engine, introduced working principle, architecture, classification and characteristic, also introduced the retrieval interface techniques, the scheduling strategy of members of the search engines, the extraction for technology effective information and the search result integrate technology and so on in detail and the limitations of meta search engine as well as the future trends.Secondly, after discussed the theoretical basis of duplicated detection of web pages and the advantages and disadvantages of the algorithm of existing duplicated detection of web pages in detail, this paper puts forward a new algorithm for duplicated detection of web pages which based on meta search engine can remove the redundant homepage in the search results page effectively.Once more, this paper has conducted the research to sort algorithm of the meta search engine and then proposed the sort algorithm of the meta search result based on the page quality and the user profile. Finally, the two proposed algorithms were simulated to verify the validity, and then discussed the two algorithms'performance results from the effect of the removing the redundant homepage, accuracy, recall rate and the average accuracy rate and so on.
