This paper studies the generate theory of the space-selection fading in the multi-path propagation effects and its impact on the interferometer system in the ultrashort wave ground direction test. Focus on analysis of the impact on the interferometer direction finding test which caused by the second reflection path Firstly, describes the forming principle of the multi-path propagation effects and the space-selection fading in the wave propagation, and elaborates the two important parameters of the space-selection fading: angle spread and correlation distance. Points out that the impact on the electronic equipment test which caused by the space-selection fading.Secondly, detailed explains the principle of interferometer direction finding, taking single-baseline dual-channel interferometer, dual-baseline dual-channel interferometer and circular array interferometer as examples. Analyze the blurring problems of interferometer direction and gives the solution, and analyze the factors which cause the error of the interferometer direction.Thirdly, on the base of the dual-path model analysis, set up the tri-path propagation model, analyze and simulate the tri-path model, emphatically analyze the influence of the interferometer direction which caused by the secondary reflector.Lastly, from measuring and analyzing the spatial characteristic, analyze the measured data, and bring forward the application in the ultrashort wave ground direction finding tests. Thereby we can evaluate the reliability of the ultrashort wave ground direction results, and accordingly we can offer reference to engineering design and test data analysis.This paper has close relationship with the communication countermeasure outfield tests, the researching results are propitious to establishing the test project reasonably and to analyze the test data impersonally, thereby we can be more impersonal and exact to evaluate the technique capability of the communication countermeasure equipments. The results of this paper have some reference meaning to the project design of wireless communication.
