Along with the advent of the global information age, computer technology has infiltrated all walks of life. Enjoying the great convenience of our work and life that computer technology gives to, our dependence on computer is also growing deeper. Computer systems become the more and more important hub and pillar to society production capacity. And enterprise's functioning of business processes is more and more highly dependent on the storage data in computer, which make the data to be the important cornerstone that support the running of enterprises. Data has become an important part of enterprises assets. As the explosive growth of data amount, the importance of data storage security has gradually emerged. The loss of data tends to interrupt the normal operation of businesses, which bring enormous economic losses to enterprises. Now as the increasing awareness of corporate data to their survival and development, enterprises are increasingly concerned about how to protect their data, and their demand to effectively protect the stored data is also be higher.Data mirroring, backup and snapshot is the most common protection technology of the data. Snapshot and backup is now commonly used, but can only to make a backup upon a fixed or variable time intervals .According to these protection methods, the changed data between two backup time point will be lost while data recovering. And the amount of such loss will be much larger as the data changes faster in the per unit time, so the losses to enterprise will be greater. Thus the traditional data protection technologies have been unable to meet the growing demand of the users.Continue Data Protection is a method to capture continuous data and save the data changes, then preserve the changed data independently of the initial data. It can make the data recovery of any past time point. The emergence of continue data protection effectively solute the data loss problem. However, traditional continue data protection technologies also have the problem of extensive records for it complete record the data changes each time. This paper designs a new continue data protection system based on the block device on the analysis of existing mechanisms problems, and successfully implemented the system on the Linux kernel operating system, which effectively solute the overloaded data recording problem.
