Compare to PDH(Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy) theory, SDH(Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) formulates frame structure and so on. Based on the principle of a new generation of optical network transmission equipment is applicable to long-distance backbone network and the metro-core layer-layer optical communication products.Traditional hardware testing methods is in the product development process step by step, from the use of manual testers, unit testing, integration testing and system testing. However, optical transmission equipment system itself is a very large number of modules, some test cases it is difficult to manually test manner, and the test coverage is very limited, this traditional test methods will eventually lead to missing out a lot of potential errors and failures. These failures, if late in the product development or product has been exposed after delivery will significantly increase the cost to address these failures, a sharp increase in the risk of project management, but also reduces the user for the product reliability.The face of the hardware system bottlenecks encountered in manual testing, it is proposed a new solution: developed specifically for transmission equipment in the automated testing software platform HTP (Hardware Testing Platform).HTP platform is integrated with Python language in the ISEE test platform on the second development, through the mouth to the device under Qx text or testing transmitters reported packets for transmission equipment to achieve functional and non-functional testing, and finally test the implementation of the resulting output on the client's interface.Test may be based on test execution log, analyze the causes of failure and thus a comprehensive and effective troubleshooting.Platform can greatly increase the coverage and effectiveness of test cases to shorten the testing phase in the whole product development cycle, market share, improving the effectiveness of the test transmission equipment has an important practical significance.
