With the rapid development of network technology and the universal access to campus networks, which played an increasingly irreplaceable important role in teaching, research, management and life services on campus. a wide range of applications of campus Network supports and promotes a rapid growth of various types of digital information resources that based on the campus network, from text files to multimedia audio/image resources, and even the web service, as well as other types of information carriers have been expanding rapidly, Types of pages, media library, library resources, etc. came into being, for which the campus network has became an important platform for digital information resources sharing and management. However, with the rapid growth of the digital information resources on campus network, millions of information and information systems on web pages, as well as plenty of information systems, and special web sites are exiting, which all brought most inconvenience for users to browse or find the certain information they need.At present, although the Internet search engine technology is relatively mature, network builders and different purposes for building a network, making the large difference exist among campus network and the Internet. It appears to be inefficient and inconvenient if we utilized the common Internet search engine to search specialized portals or a particular page within a certain scope. For example, if we access to the pages of certain information within a particular school, the common search engines will be very difficult to conduct a comprehensive and efficient search. For this reason, the campus network search engine system needs to introduce new techniques and methods to improve the accuracy of the search engine within a specified range of searching, so that the campus network users could pick up quickly and accurately the potential, valuable information from the massive number of campus network resources, then the new techniques and methods we have introduced would played an active role in school's teaching, learning, management and decision-makingIn this thesis, in view of common search engine can not retrieval the information accurately and efficiently, as well as an urgent need of information retrieval on campus network, The author proposed the principle and framework of search engine on campus network,and analyzed the implement of the existing common search engines based on the statistical analysis of present digital resources characteristics. The application of Net2.0 framework C# language and Microsoft SQL Server2005 database realized a small-sized and efficient search engine system that oriented to campus network retrieval with search,indexing,Chinese word segmentation and the user interface。This search engine can make up for the shortcomings of the common search engine for retrievaling information resources on the campus network,moreover,it can deploy the small medium-sized network applied to the campus network/LAN/Intranet in particular the scope of the search has its own unique advantages, showing than the general Search for better search engine performance. The search engine system has been designed to achieve a good example in our university s campus network and its application has received a good result. This thesis mainly consists of three parts:The first part is on the basic technology research for the search engine, the author focused mainly on the background of the task, and introduced the origin, development, basic characteristics, principles and content classification of the search engine, as well as its applications and development prospects. A detailed analysis on the composition and working principles of the search engine was conducted, then on the types of present popular search engines are analyzed and compared, based on which the author summarized the future development trends of the search engine. The second part is on the design and implementation of campus network search engine's main program. The author described on the main program design and implementation of the search engine in detail, in terms of the main design, database design, server-side and spider-side design, as well as the workflow. Spider-end multi-threaded page collection of information resources were focused on the technical design Elaborate and put forward the idea of building a search feature and an example.Part III is on Design and realization of the campus network into a search engine user interface(that is Web client) of. From the end of the main Web user interface and query Chinese word segmentation and other technical aspects are described. Web client user interface provides a query keywords ranking, the results of the sequencing functions, the comprehensive use of the latest Microsoft Atlas framework, Web2.0, and other technology for the advanced nature of the system to ensure stability and efficiency; and the same time, in the current Word types conducted technical studies on the basis of comparison, speicu applicatrm of word division methods used in campus network search engine as compared with comparison tests to demonstrate the word technology s high accuracy, good effect .
