Rotating machinery is a familiar key equipment of all fields in the world, and it is the important equipment. Rotating shaft torsional vibration of rotating machinery performance directly affects the security and reliability. Especially in the power industry and the internal combustion engine industry, torsional vibration detection and prevention is of great significance. As shaft torsional vibration measurement technology developing rapidly, various shaft torsional vibration testing methods have been researched widely. The torsional vibration measurement technology based on fiber optic sensor have been research in this dissertation. The shaft torsional vibration measurement system have been build and proved that the measurement system be with superior performance.Main work is shown as follows:1. Research on the shaft torsional vibration model based on the theory of mechanical vibration in order to lay the foundation for torsional vibration experimental data analysis.2. Design the torsional vibration measuring method based on the fiber optic sensor and encoded disk. The measuring method can be easily applied to various types of shaft, and eliminate the measurement errors which exist in similar programs. The reliability of the measuring method had been proved through simulations and experiments.3. Using FPGA design data collection logic achieve multiple simultaneous acquisition of experimental data and automatically write the data into the on-chip FIFO.4. According to the PCI local bus specification, the PCI bus interface logic was designed in FPGA. The interface logic achieve 5 kinds of function such as: configuration read, configuration write, I/O read, I/O write and memory read .5. PC data acquisition software was designed based on WinDriver software. The software use for identify the PCI card, transfer data and real-time display data.
