With the development of the modern electricity industry, electromagnetic environment is becoming more and more degraded and complex. In the power supply industry, the application of high-frequency switch mode power supply is making enormous electromagnetic radiation to surroundings. Among of the electromagnetic interference, far-field electromagnetic radiation could effect devices'performance in a wide range and could destroy the ecology environment and human's health. As a new hotspot in electromagnetic compatibility, the study of far-field electromagnetic radiation interference has been paid close attention by many countries. The main works of this paper are as follows:(1) Based on the characteristics of electromagnetic field, the FDTD model of one Flyback is set up to study the characteristics of its far-field electromagnetic radiation interference.(2) After analyzing the electromagnetic radiation ability of each component, the FDTD methods of modeling electrolytic capacitor, transformer, diode and MOSFET are proposed, and the method is respectively verified using the simulation.(3) The FDTD model of the whole Flyback power converter is set up, including the input and output cables, the FDTD simulation results with transient incitement are got, and the feasibility of the model is verified.(4) To compare the simulation results of different parameters, it is concluded that the characteristics of the far-field electromagnetic radiation are effected by the length of the input and output cables and the change of incitements'frequencies. This paper is useful for designers to understand the method to set up the fdtd model of Flyback power converter, and to get a clear understanding of the nature of far-field electromagnetic radiation, to predict the far-field electromagnetic radiation in the start of design, to guide the EMC design of power electromagnetic converter, in order to reduce far-field electromagnetic radiation and cut down the cost of design.
