Fiber placement technology based on the fiber winding and layer taping, is advanced automatic manufacturing technique of producing composite structures. Produces made by placement technology are light weight, high precision,bright surface , stable quality;Fiber placement equipment controlled by the computer system, including tows clamp, restart, cut, realizing ply clipping , thickening , variable continuously angle, are strong surface adaptability, low cost and high productivity.In this paper, 7-DOF NC fiber placement machine for the study. First, interactive man-machine interface is developed based on Turbo PMAC. The interface has many functions such as communication initialization, control card settings, program operation, manual debugging, status display, query, user registration by using LabVIEW software graphical controls and graphical code to call dynamic link library of the Turbo PMAC PComm32 Pro.Second, The G code and M code format is used by the way of the interpreter 1000 and 1001. Based on trajectory planning, tool path and the laying process, integration of the servo motion and tows control is developed by post processing of the motion controller, according to PLC program real-time detection, through restart motor's encoder position feedback and the tows control flag.Finally, continuously increase angle placement algorithm in according to step-size adaption and natural extension is proposed, based on the research of the fiber placement. The planning trajectory is realized by UG /Open grip secondary development tools. Seven variables in coordinate system are solved in the use of robot inverse kinematics. The solution for variables is realized by MATLAB soft. The fiber placement experiment is carried on the 7-DOF NC fiber placement machine, which verify that interactive man-machine interface well, post processing procedures reliable, trajectory planning route correct, inverse kinematics variable in the variable range.
