As an effective way of improving optical capacity of telescope, optical synthesis telescope is widely used. The co-phased effect of sub-synthesis determines the optic performance of telescope. As a result, the detection technology of displacement between syntheses plays a crucial role in optical synthesis telescopeIn this thesis, the inductance displacement sensor for detecting the displacement of the difference in height between the neighboring sub-synthesis telescopes is studied.The mathematical model of the inductance sensor has been established. According to the characteristics and requirements of the synthesis telescope system, the sensor's parameter has been designed, including the basic size of the coils, the number of windings and etc. The function between mutual inductance and displacement is analyzed by simulation in two methods which come out the same result. The parameters are optimized by comparing the simulations.The lock-in amplifier circuit has been designed and manufactured as the sensor's measuring circuit. Each main part of the circuit has been simulated. The correctness of principle has been confirmed. Finally, the static calibration for the sensor has been carried out. The results of the static calibration experiment indicate that the sensor takes on good performance of wide linearity range, good linearity and high sensitivity. In conclusion, this sensor is effective for the displacement in measuring differences of height between the neighboring segments on the optical synthesis telescope.
