Model Predictive Control (MPC) is one of the most powerful advanced control strategies of industrial process control. During the industrial process, the design of controller must satisfy some constraints, then, the optimization of DMC is a nonlinear optimization problem. Nonlinear optimization problem has the defect of large calculations and it can't find the global optimal solution. To these questions, this paper tries to solve this problem with Chaos Optimization Algorithm.Chaos Optimization Algorithm searches the optimum with the characteristic of ergodicity and sensitivity to the initial value. After analyzing the convergence of COA in theory, I contrastively studied the Logistic and Tent mapping which were used to generate chaos array. To the question of minor cycle of Tent mapping, I made some improvements. Then, to the question of searching in one side of the optimum during the second carrier wave, I made some research. At last, I structured an improved Chaos Optimization Algorithm based on Tent mapping. I used this algorithm to solve optimization problem, and the result can explain the advantage of COA and the prospect of Tent mapping.The roll optimization problem of constrained MPC can be converted to standard Quadratic Programming problem. I used the improved Chaos Optimization Algorithm based on Tent mapping, Effective Set algorithm and Dantzig-Wolfe algorithm as the roll optimization strategy, then, studied the results after using them to the roll optimization of MPC. The simulation result of reaction conversation system can explain the advantage of COA.At last, I put the algorithm to real process control. Based on OPC, I realized the data communication between MATLAB and MCGS, and set up an experiment platform which can be used to control the real process in MATLAB environment, then, I realized the control of A3000 process equipment. The good result of PID algorithm can test the reliability of the platform. At last, I used the DMC algorithm based on COA as the roll optimization strategy, and got a satisfied result which can explain that the algorithm had good control performance.
