Research Of Water Supply Pipe Leak Detection And Location Technology

The overall monitoring in water piping systems, which leak detection and leak point localization occupies an extremely important position. Depth study of the water pipeline leak detection and location methods and techniques, has great practical value. The losses of urban and rural water supply system in China caused by pipeline leakage quite amazing each year. This is only a waste of valuable water resources, also caused huge economic losses. Based on water supply pipeline leak detection and location as the background, the main research leakage signal analysis and processing technology.SNR (Signal Noise Ratio) of detection signal obtained is extremely low in the real condition, which will affect the accuracy of the detection and location. Based on the analysis of the leaking signal characteristics, noise Characteristics and related positioning principle, signal collection methods, the noise resisting sliding average filtering and wavelet analysis are researched in this paper. In order to contrast and validate the accuracy of the cross-correlation algorithm, the simulation research is made using MATLAB software.This paper studies and set up the experimental system of water supply pipeline, design a data acquisition software and hardware system and to achieve, and puts forward innovative methods in signal processing. With the KINGVIEW and MTLAB software platform for the tool, KINGVIEW makes human-machine interface, the signal is progressing in time domain cross-correlation analysis with MATLAB for leak location, using Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) to realize the data exchange between the KINGVIEW and MATLAB. The experiment results show that the designed data acquisition system can effectively obtain leak signals, Data transmission rate between KINGVIEW and MATLAB basic meet signal processing demand of leak detection and localization, meanwhile it also proves cross-correlation algorithm for leak location is feasible, and error is very small.
