Wireless Mesh Network(use with WMN in turn), also called Wireless Reticulation Network, Wireless Gridding Network, separates from Mobile Ad-hoc Network, and inherits some techniques of Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). In the strict sense, WMN is a new kind of broadband wireless network structure, a new kind of high capacity and high speed distributed network, and has big differences with conventional networks. So it is usually called "the wireless version of Internet", and it is one of the main techniques of next period wireless network. WMN's routing protocol is the hot researching issue, although some routing protocols belonged to Mobile Ad-hoc Network can be used in WMN straightly, WMN's routing protocol designment must think of it's autologous particularity, namely how to design and realize congruous routing procotol to fit with the particular feature of WMN itself. In my article, I will deeply probe the research principle,train of thought and definite methods of Wireless Mesh Network's routing protocol. I will combine the particular feature of WMN itself, improve the existing routing protocol of Mobile Ad-hoc Network, based on hybrid routing architecture, consider such factors enough: the distance of nodes, the energy of nodes, packets transmitting extent, and so on. I will realize a new kind of WMN routing protocol "HR-AODV", and lead in two new kinds of mechanisms: "limiting range" and "compromise of distance and energy", so it make sure that the video streaming can be transported from source node to destination node in the network layer, with a little distortion as as far as possible, and has higher security, reliability and fault-tolerance. The hybrid routing architecture, energy and range mechanism which raised in this article, has an universality guiding significance to the research of WMN's routing protocol. Improvements in network layer is also more effective than improvements in application layer, and better to serve the applications of Wireless Mesh Network.Concrete jobs list as follow:Research existing routing protocol of Mobile Ad-hoc Network, simulate and test under Network Simulator(Version 2), compare merits and disadvantages with each other. Based on the jobs as above, approach that whether they have the value to be improved to use under Wireless Mesh Network;As preparation work as above, in connection with the particular feature of WMN itself, based on hybrid routing architecture, consider enough the distance of nodes, the energy of nodes and packets transmitting extent, realize a new WMN's routing protocol "HR-AODV" by altering AODV protocol, and increase "limiting range mechanism" and "compromise of distance and energy mechanism";In consistency test platform and Network Simulator(V2), emulate the new protocol"HR-AODV", and analyze its improvement degree of performance by contrasting the test results. Further, seek for the research methods of complicated WMN's routing protocols and raise several new frameworks and mechanisms, in the hope of larger promotion of performance.
