Video transmission and control is an important field of artificial intelligence research and is a comprehensive, multidisciplinary cutting-edge technology. It spans many subjects and technology including computer science, microelectronics, communication technology and artificial intelligence. It is currently a wide used technology in the field of embedded applications.Nowadays,the Robotic vehicles configured with video transmission systems widely use fiber optic or coaxial cable as a transmission medium. Although the transmission medium with anti-jamming, high speed, etc., but also limits the mobility of the robot vehicle and environmental adaptability of the system because of the physical media. For the current robot vehicle systems'video transmission problems, this paper presents a design use the WIFI (Wireless Fidelity, WIFI) technology to replace the popular traditional wired transmission for video and control. The system used the Embedded technology with low-power, low cost, high efficiency to achieve the robot vehicle systems'video capture and compression and used the WIFI technology for remote video data transmission.Firstly, the current robotic vehicle system status and the development of video transmission problems were introduced. The significance of the topic and main contents of the research were analyzed. Then, we present a multi-threaded mutex deadlock prevention algorithm based on QT mutex, analysis the principle of the algorithm and prove the effectiveness of the algorithm.Secondly, the design ideas for video transmission and control system based on embedded and wireless WIFI technology were proposed, and the system functions and a division of a system of hardware and software interface were discussed. Then the embedded system software, hardware platform were built, the software and hardware drivers were transplanted and the operating environment for application software was configured.Thirdly, according to the system functions, the system's process was designed and the synchronization and mutual exclusion structure between the various functional modules was developed and the application of each functional module was designed.Finally, the work of this research topic was summarized in this thesis, and the achievement and shortage were indicated. Then, the outlook of future research and application was indicated.
