Radar imaging is one of extremely important and widely used sophisticated technologies in military and national defense modernization.Electromagnetic simulation has been a very important aspect of radar imaging. Though studying at home and abroad for many years, electromagnetic simulation has been rapid development. Subsequently a lot of specialized commercial software for electromagnetic computation has been formed, such as CST, FEKO, etc, which have powerful function, fast speed and high precision. However, research that the simulation software has been applied in radar imaging studies is fewer at present.In this dissertation, we develop the radar imaging system based on MATLAB graphical user interface environment GUIDE. The system applies the simulation software analysing of imaging calculation of the target, which has the following characteristics:(1) Call FEKO by the background, set the relevant parameters of FEKO properly, apply these far-field scattering data that calculated by FEKO to simulate the radar echo of the target, read the echo data and analyse gained image.(2) For big targets or high frequency, normal computer can not meet the requirements of FEKO calculation; but high-frequency approximation method of CST can compute electromagnetic field of large targets using normal computer, the module that read CST radar echo data is produced, can imag CST data, realizing the goals of the imaging for big target.(3) We not only integrate three conventional imaging methods: one-dimensional range image,range - Doppler (R.D) and polar (PFA),but also two common super-resolut -ion algorithms ESPRIT and MUSIC are applied to the system , raising the two-dimensional ISAR image resolution without increasing the bandwidth of the radar and imaging angle.(4) The system also integrates the imaging modules based on scattering point model, the modules verify validity of the algorithm.Finally we use the imaging system to imaging and simulating for some typical radar target, the image gained is clear and high resolution. It is obvious that using FEKO and CST in the radar imaging simulation, not only makes complicated electromagnetic calculation become simple, fast and high accuracy, but also has good imaging result. In a word, managing the powerful software in the simulation of radar imaging can gain quickly and accurately radar image of the target, which has important practical significance for radar imaging disquisition.
