Block cipher is a important embranchment of symmetry cipher, which is exerting crucial effect in information security. The main content of block cipher studying includes designing and analysis of block cipher which opposes and unionizes to each other. On the one hand, in allusion to the mature analysis artifice of block cipher, the devisers of block cipher are always hope to scheme out a cipher arithmetic that can stand against all known attack; on the other hand, as to the known cipher arithmetic, cipher analyzers always hope to find some safety bugs. The studying of the two hands forces the development of block cipher together.The studying actuality and development trend of block cipher are reviewed in this paper, the basic conception and process of integral attack are described, and the rationale of bit pattern based integral attck is particular studied. We also use the theory mentioned above on the CRYPTON V1.0 and mCrypton block cipher. The main results is as below:Bit pattern based integral attack which seeing about the type and balance of every bits of the cipher, is one of the most effective attack on the block cipher of which the linear layer is based on bit patterns. CRYPTON V1.0 and mCrypton block cipher which are analysed with the theory of bit pattern based integral attck are both the candidate of the AES. In the study above, we have found a 3 round distinguisher respectively and gained the time and data degree of the complexity.
