To deal with such condition, we have developed small-scale supermarket management system.The small-scale supermarket management system discussed in this paper is a typical management information system (MIS), it can insert, delete, retrieve and update commodities information, it has the basic function—sale commodities and manages the employees. Small-scale supermarket particularly the small-scale chain-supermarket using the small-scale supermarket management system can be worked up and made more convenient.The system uses the PowerBuilder as the development tool of the database application system. The PowerBuilder is the best development tool to develop C/S mode, is a visual, object to oriented development environment. Database is the Sybase's ASE, which is ready for the development of the small-scale chain-supermarket.
