With great efforts to promote information technology strategy and information communication technology advances, broadband communication network has been great development, network for people working and living has brought great convenience. Technological advances and user needs accelerate streaming media applications develop rapidly. Streaming media technology is widely used in news releases, video-on-demand, remote education, telemedicine and so on. Rich performance form endow more interactive and entertaining. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for communications operator.In this thesis, design and application of the streaming media distribution System is researched, the main contributions are as follows:The thesis made a comprehensive analysis of content delivery network (CDN), including system structure and characteristics of the business process, etc. Research focus on the peer-to-peer(P2P) key technologies, including file orientation and fault-tolerant mechanisms, etc. Efficient content delivery network based on P2P is proposed in this paper. It inherited P2P technology strong scalability, load balancing the benefits, with CDN the nearest service features. It is a new generation of broadband streaming media distribution system solutions, successfully solved the P2P technology in the operation and management of the performance of the major shortcomings.Application of the new system as follows: the new system allows users to significantly speed up the download speed, allows a limited capacity for more users with streaming media services. The new system is able to lower costs to deal with the rapid growth challenges posed by users, simultaneity ensure the quality of service. It has very good ability to control network traffic. P2P traffic will be restricted to the local area network by focusing on the architecture of distributed, to avoid on-line telecommunications backbone and disorderly flow of storm. It ultimately enhances network manageability and high reliability.
