Pre-processing Of Fingerprint Image Based On Judicial Application

The particularity of the texture and characteristics of fingerprint causes it widely used in various aspects, the fingerprint checking attendance machine and the fingerprint locks already marches into people's daily life. In the administration of justice, the fingerprint images evidence as the alleged scientific nature are subjected to more and more challenges, however, the fingerprint images used in detective work to narrow and identify criminal suspects, is still one of the most important means of detection methods, achieved remarkable results.At present, our country is in a period of rapid development of economy and society, various social contradictions are still prominent, and frequent cases of various types of law and discipline violations by illegally invasive of another's property caused even more prominent in criminal cases, the task of maintaining social harmony and stability are still difficult. The relevant judicial organs have gradually established a fingerprint database, including the fingerprint images of preservation criminal records person, the fingerprint images which the case are not yet solves and so on. When a criminal case took place, the quality of the fingerprint images which withdraws from the scene is generally low, incomplete and slurred is the common two kinds of situations. Therefore, pre-processing these fingerprint images are necessary, getting a clear texture and character fingerprint image for narrowing the scope of detection is of great significance.This article analyzes different methods of fingerprint image pre-processing, choosing reasonable solution to the change of procedure, proposing segmentation threshold, realizing the division, image filtering,binarization and thinning,then getting the final image.The issue is certain meaningful for solving some extents, and also can reduce the scope of the investigation, ease the workload, provide technical supports for the detection of certain criminal cases. The issue is meaningful and useful for the future administration of justice in the work of documentary evidence and physical evidence.The experimental results and the application situation are given at the last chapter, described the future work direction clearly.
